Nike Air Max 95 Kim Jones “Volt”
The Nike Air Max 95 Kim Jones “Volt” is a distinctive collaboration between Nike and renowned British fashion designer Kim Jones, bringing a modern and technical aesthetic to one of Nike’s most recognisable silhouettes.
Released in 2021, the collaboration takes inspiration from the original Air Max 95 while introducing contemporary design elements. The upper combines black and grey tones with suede, mesh and synthetic materials, creating a layered construction that retains the characteristic anatomy-inspired appearance of the Air Max 95.
One of the defining details is the Volt colour blocking, which appears across the redesigned lace loops, tongue branding and visible Air cushioning. The bright Volt accents provide a strong contrast against the otherwise understated black and grey upper.
Kim Jones also introduced several subtle modifications to the classic silhouette. The side panels feature a distinctive Morse code-style dot-and-dash pattern, while a small Swoosh appears on the toe. Kim Jones branding is placed on the lateral heel, highlighting the designer collaboration.
Underfoot, the sneaker features a full-length Max Air unit integrated into the midsole for cushioned comfort. The translucent rubber outsole also incorporates enlarged branding and a futuristic finish, completing the collaborative design.
The model is identified by style code DD1871-002 and has the official Black / Volt colourway. It released on 19 March 2021.
